Managing Partner

Aditya Kurian brings more than a decade of international commercial arbitration experience from the world's leading arbitral institutions and elite international law firms, offering clients sophisticated expertise in international commercial arbitration.

Prior to founding Accord Partners, he was a Senior Counsel in the international disputes and arbitration group at O'Melveny & Myers LLP in Hong Kong. There, he represented clients across a broad spectrum of international commercial arbitrations, conducting oral advocacy before international arbitral tribunals and cross-examining witnesses.

Before joining O'Melveny & Myers LLP, Aditya gained deep institutional expertise during his tenure as Counsel at the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), where he administered over 200 international commercial arbitrations, and at the Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, where he gained invaluable insights into the ICC's Rules and practices.

Aditya is admitted in England & Wales, Hong Kong (non-practising) and India. He is a permanent member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration National Committee Nominations Commission for Hong Kong. He was formerly a member of the ICC-HK Arbitration and ADR Committee (2020-2024) and the HKIAC Steering Committee for young arbitration professionals in Asia and beyond: HK45 (2021-2023).

Aditya has published in the Global Arbitration Review, the Asian Dispute Review and the leading arbitration treatise in Hong Kong, "Arbitration in Hong Kong: A Practical Guide" (Fifth Edition).

He has spoken extensively at international arbitration conferences in Hong Kong, London, Frankfurt, Kuala Lumpur, Mumbai and New Delhi.

Aditya was honoured by the Zubin Foundation in Hong Kong by being named to their 2024 Diversity List, a directory of ethnically diverse individuals in Hong Kong who have demonstrated the talent and commitment to serve on Hong Kong's Advisory and Statutory Bodies and help shape government policymaking.
